Exquistie Corpse Project

My publisher, Schwartz & Wade, asked several of its artists to participate in a few rounds of the classic surrealist game "Exquisite Corpse." The game is simple: Draw a head, fold it over, pass it on to someone else. The next person doesn't peek and then draws the body, and the next the feet. Then the magical unfolding...Voila! The link below is full of some really great collaborations. They ran this promotion for librarians, and gave the original art away to be hung in schools throughout the country.

Some of the great artists involved include Barry Blitt, Christoph Niemann, Jerry Pinkney, Nancy Carpenter, Hanoch Piven, André Carrilho, Giselle Potter and several others. Enjoy.

7-Year-Old-Abe-Lincoln-Headquarters

I am in the midst of finishing up the final art for my children's book, the boyhood story of Abe Lincoln falling in a creek. This is a shot of my desk with 5 images in progress. These are all done now and I have 6 left to go. I'll post a few soon.

Show Jury News

I will be jurying two upcoming shows! I'm the single guest judge for the next CMYK Magazine student illustration competition. In the fall, I'll be traveling to L.A. to be a part of the jury for The Society of Illustrators Los Angeles 46th Annual. It's an honor to be a part of these esteemed shows.
