Communication Arts has an interview with me about my process and working philosophy (stifle your laughter, andrea). It is featured on the
home page today, and will move to the
Insights section later in the week. My church drawings even got tagged for the headline. Take a look, but once you do, the mystery will be gone.
Great stuff man. Loved your interview, your work looks great. Sola Deio Gloria.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to drop you a note because I enjoyed the article. Motivational :)-Alejandra
ReplyDeleteThanks guys... I'm in need of some motivation, so I'll go reread the interview.
ReplyDeleteand thanks to this issue I've seen your blog. Great work guy!
ReplyDeleteMotivational for sure. Great mcphereson drawing down there by the way.
ReplyDeleteInspiring for a poet, too. Especially the part about desire, and the quote about mystery. And Rob also wants to be a beekeeper!
ReplyDeletehey John, if it's not too painful for ya, can we see your first Village Voice piece you mentioned....
ReplyDeleteJoy- bees are tough in NYC. You'd better stay in STL for a while.
ReplyDeleteBrian- I'm not sure how I feel about posting that piece of junk. My working method was totally different, dry-brush paintings. Uh. I'll think about it.
Hey, no sweat....

What if I just emailed it to you? Or described it in Esperanto?
ReplyDeleteSure you can email, but like I said, it's cool.
ReplyDeleteJohn, Read the article and noticed you have an interest in beekeeping. The former Kansas Honey Queen could give you some great advice and I even have some great beekeeping gear around here that I have been wanting to get rid of to get you started. Next time you are in town, it is yours.
